internship.
working life has been quite an experience, coupled with this being the legal profession. the workload’s been heavy, the hours long and the work draining, but i am enjoying myself. its an all-new experience for me, having never worked in an office proper before and my boss being particularly nice! plus the office has a great view of marina bay and the new downtown.
anyhow meeting up with friends this week has been very fruitful too, so its always a nice respite amidst the monotony of work, so let’s see: dinner with geri on monday, lunch with kelly on tuesday, dinner with adriel on wednesday and lunch with the boss on friday. i can’t say the work’s easy but its enjoyable and its just a small indication of what is to come. working in a small firm has its advantages, like learning more from your mentor and having greater exposure to different practice areas, and then there’s the welfare bits like not fighting with one another for the coffee machine in the pantry.
it’ll be a busy june for me, internship till next friday, then css foc starts the very next day on saturday till the following friday, then there’s law camp the following following week. how i treasure the weekends now haha but as they all say, you asked for it. and of course there’s holiday to look forward to in july where i want to travel travel travel, any takers?
